Koishikawa Botanical Garden, Hakusan, Tokyo (March 27th)

Prunus yamasakura "Mure Zakura".

We went to see some cherry blossoms at Koishikawa Botanical Garden in Hakusan.
This time we could enter the greenhouse for the first time. They showed some orchids and the plants from the Ogasawara islands. Cherry blossoms just started to bloom, but we could see several kinds of them already there.

Prunus yamasakura "Mure Zakura".

Veronica cymbalaria (Kogome Inu-no-fuguri).

Viola yedoensis (Noji Sumire).

Viola diffusa (Tsukushi Sumire).

Cherry "Someiyoshino".

Tetranema roseum (Mexico digitalis) in the greenhouse.

Paphiopedilum delenatii in the greenhouse.

Ajuga boninsimae (Shima Kako-sou) in the greenhouse.
This one is pretty rare species in the Ogasawara islands.

Peperomia boninsimensis (Shima-goshou).

Cherry "Someiyoshino".

This cherry had white flowers.

Prunus x yedoensis cv. Izu Yoshino.
I didn't know the cherry called "Someiyoshino" has quite a few variations.

Prunus yamasakura (Yamazakura).
I like Yamazakura because of its beautiful red leaves.

Prunus incisa cv. Soushunzakura (Mame-zakura).
This one was already finishing, but the flowers were so lovely.

Prunus x yedoensis cv. Amagiyoshino.
Another variation of Someiyoshino.

Fritillaria verticillata var. thunbergii (Baimo).

A sleepy cat.

Taraxacum albidum (Shirobana Tanpopo).

Spiraea thunbergii (Yuki-yanagi).

Viola grypoceras (Tachitsubo Sumire).
