From there we took the Kurodake Ropeway.
上川駅からバスで層雲峡に到着。二日間、電車に乗りっぱなしだったので、近くの温泉でまずは汗を流しました。
Here are the pictures taken on the third day of our trip, August 7th.
It was rainy when we got to Sapporo and kept raining pretty much all day on that day.
When we got to Souunkyou BS, we first went to take a bath at a hot spring nearby.
And then we took the ropeway and lift to the 7th station of Mt. Kurodake.
While we climbed up to the top of Mt. Kurodake, we both sweated a lot in the rain jacket and it felt really uncomfortable. After having riden lots of trains, we both got pretty tired even though the course to the top of Mt. Kurodake was not so long.
It felt really nice to lay down on the floor of the hut and we slept pretty tight.

東京を出て３日目。ついに北海道上陸。
札幌からは、特急を使って上川まで。そこからバスに乗り３０分ほどで、層雲峡に到着。
まずは近くの温泉で汗を流してから、ロープウェイに乗りました。
札幌についた頃から降っていた雨は、止む事がなく、この日はずっと雨降りの状態でした。
この日の歩きは、ほんの２，３時間だけなのですが、連日の電車乗車で疲れが溜まっていたのか、思いの外、しんどかったです。石室について、３日ぶりに、ごろんと横になれたときは本当に気持ちよかったです。

When we were close to the end of the ropeway, we couldn't see anything because of the fog.
ロープウェイ終点近くに来ると、こんな感じにガスに包まれた状態に…何にも見えないよ～。

ロープウェイの黒岳駅。登山客は雨具を着込んでいます。雨は止む気配なし。

真っ赤なほっぺのウソが迎えてくれました。
Aconitum yamazakii (Daisetsu Torikabuto).
You can find quite a few of them on the way to Mt. Kurodake.
黒岳に向かう途中、彩りを添えていました。
Trollius riederianus (Chishima-no-Kinbaisou).
Lonicera chamissoi (Hyoutan-boku).
Geranium erianthum (Chishima Fuuro) or maybe Geranium erianthum f. pallescens (Tokachi Fuuro)?
花の写真も雨と疲れでほとんど撮っていませんでした。

黒岳への登りでは、ナガバキタアザミ、ダイセツトリカブト、ハイオトギリの花が目立っていました。

We couldn't get any nice view from there that day.
黒岳頂上に到着。冷たい雨混じりの風が吹き付けます。
登りで、レインジャケットの中が汗でぐしょぐしょになっていて、かなり疲れてきています。
The hut was getting to show up in the fog.
霧の向こうに、今晩の宿、黒岳石室が見えてきました。
The beautiful patch of Phyllodoce caerulea var. yezoensis (Ko Ezo Tsugazakura).
コエゾツガザクラの群落が霧の中、心を和ませてくれました。

チングルマはほとんどが花が終わったあとでしたが、こうして咲き残ってくれているものもありました。

There were not so many people in the hut. There were only 10 or so in the hut, so we could use plenty space to sleep and relax.

この日は、団体客が一組いましたが、彼らは別の棟に泊まったので、石室には１０名ほどしか泊まりませんでした。お陰で、ゆったりとスペースを使うことが出来ました。
今更ながら、初めて試してみたアルファ米が思いの外、おいしかったです。
