The lovely violet with the Japan Sea and trash!
When we had beer at our hotel room near Niigata sta. after supper, we decided to go to some beach to find some violets we had never seen before.
As our original plan, we were going to Murakami to see this violet: Viola grayi (Iso Sumire), but we decided to go south instead of north.
After looking around the beach for a while, we found the violet!
Actually, it was a little early for this violet, but we found quite a few of them blooming already.
However, we were both surprised at the environment where this beautiful violet lives.
They were blooming surrounded with lots of trash!
当初のプランでは、村上にある瀬波海岸でイソスミレを探そうということだったのですが、北に行くより南の方がいいかも、ということで、新潟から特急一本で行ける柿崎という駅に向かうことにしました。駅から程なく海岸に到着。ハマダイコンがたくさん咲いているので、同様の環境に生育するらしいイソスミレもいるはず、と探していると、見つかりました！
はじめはちらほらでしたが、進んでいくと結構、たくさん咲いてました。
でも、まだ流石に早すぎたようで、これからが本番といったところでした。
何よりショックだったのは、浜辺がゴミだらけだったこと。どこも浜辺ってこんなにひどいのかなぁ？
そんなゴミに囲まれても、可愛らしい顔をしてスミレたちは咲いていました。

First, we couldn't find many of them, but we found a spot
where this kind of violets were spreading and started to bloom.
