Uragus sibiricus (Benimashiko, Long-tailed Rosefinch)
ベニマシコ。はじめて見るその姿に興奮してしまいました。
Today we went to see some birds in Nagaike Park walking down from the Nimami Oosawa sta. on Keio line. The park has a couple of ponds and we found some birds on the trail beside the stream between them. The most exciting thing was we found Uragus sibiricus (Benimashiko, Long-tailed Rosefinch) for the first time. The bird was really pretty. I had never seen such a pretty pink bird. We took lots of pictures of the bird with my friend, Daniel's camera. After coming back home, we had to sort out hundreds of pictures.
京王線南大沢駅より長池公園へ出かけてきました。初めて言った場所なので少し迷いつつたどり付くと、まずはアオジが姿を見せてくれました。池と池を結ぶ水辺沿いでは、ジョウビタキやルリビタキの雌を見ることができました。しばらく公園内を散策し、再び同じ場所に戻ってみると、聞きなれない鳴き声がしたかと思うと、そこには待望のベニマシコの雄が現れました。初めて見るその姿は、美しいバラ色で、友人のカメラを借りて、何枚も写真を撮ってしまいました。「鳥屋」さんには有名らしく、どでかいカメラを持った人たちが何人も写真を撮っていました。
