Some Mountain in Western Tokyo (April 27th)

 

There was a beautiful cherry tree at the entrance of the trail.

    We went to hike on a mountain in Hinohara village, Tokyo.
At the top of the mountain, it was still pretty early for most of the violets, but we found quite a few Viola chaerophylloides f. sieboldiana (Higo Sumire).  However, there were lots of suspicious ones, too...  They looked like some kind of hybrid.
    We took the trail we had never taken before to get to the bottom of the mountain.  On that trail, we found lots of edible fern.

檜原村の山にハイキングに行ってきました。麓はすっかり春ですが、山頂付近はようやく木々が芽吹いたばかり。スミレもまだこれからなのかなぁ…ヒゴは他よりも早いのか、終わりかけのものも結構ありました。あとはアケボノが目立つくらいでした。
典型的なヒゴに見えない個体がかなりあって、よく分かんなくなってしまいました。

下山してきた集落は何とものんびりした所でした。
