Some Mountains in Western Tokyo (April 28th)

 

Soft green was so beautiful.

    I went to the spot where we found an interesting hybrid last year.   At the spot, it was too early for the violets, and I found only a few Viola hirtipes (Sakura Sumire) flowers blooming.  But I found the leaves of the hybrid I was looking for.  It seemed the plant was getting smaller this year.  Hope I can see the flower blooming in a few weeks.

昨年、５月に気になる交雑種があったスポットに出かけてきました。
朝一の電車、バスでたどり着いて、しばらく探せども見つけ出せず、わずかに咲いていたサクラスミレやヒゴの葉っぱを撮影した後、あきらめて下山し始めた所で、スミレ仲間さんにバッタリ。
そこで、再び戻って捜索を再開。何とか葉っぱを確認できました。

だいぶ朝早くについたので、しばし富士山をひとり占め。

２，３株くらいしか咲いてませんでしが、

ここは本来の季節の進み具合なのかも。

アケボノは咲いているのもあれば、葉っぱが展開したものもありました。

I found quite a few of them this year. 

Some of them were not blooming yet and some are finishing.

このエリアにこんなにヒゴがあるとは思いませんでした。

花の終わったもの、これからのものが混在していました。

こちらが交雑種。昨年はシオシオになった花が見られました。

今年は咲いてくれるのかなぁ…株がこじんまりしてました。

ヒラツカスミレ…今まで同定したことがなかったけど、

どう見ても葉っぱはヒゴっぽいし、花も香りがありました。

それにしても新緑がまぶしかったです。
