I made it for their prime time this year!
I hiked around the Takao area to see some orchids.
I found several patches of Calanthe discolor (Ji Ebine) flowers in their prime.
I saw quite a few Cephalanthera falcata (Kin Ran), but most of them were already fading.
I checked how the Dendrobium moniliforme (Sekkoku) flowers were doing, and they were just starting to bloom.
高尾周辺を歩いてきました。
コミヤマスミレも流石にちょっとだけ花が残ってるだけで、スミレからランの季節にすっかり切り替わっていました。

周囲は、大規模な間伐が行われていました。
流石にこの群生は目立っていたのか、
そこだけ取り残されたように咲いていました。

エビネやキンランは見頃のようですね。
でもカヤランはもう終わってるとは・・・ セッコクも少し遅れ気味かな？
わたしもそろそろスミレも一息で高尾に出掛けたいですが、今日は歩きすぎて疲れ果てました・・・
長い一日だったようで、お疲れ様でした。
目的も果たせたようで、やりましたね。
セッコクは、つぼみが目立っていて、しかも今年はあまりパッとしないような感じがします。まあ、まだ早かっただけなのかなぁ。
緑もすっかり鬱蒼とした様子に変わってきましたね。
