The Trip to Bousou Peninsula, Part 2 (January 8th)

Aloe arborescens (Kidati Aloe).
We found some huge Aloe plants with flowers here and there near Hota station.
花をつけたアロエをたくさん見かけました。中にはこんな巨大化したものも…

After enjoying Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis (Nihon Suisen) flowers, we went back to Hota station. We were planning to take the ferry from Kanaya port, so we had some time before the train going to Hama-Kanaya station. It was pretty close from the beach, so we went to see the ocean.
At 14:29 we took the train to Hama-Kanaya station, and then we took the ferry from Kanaya port to Kurihama in Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa. It was pretty fun to be on the ferry. We could see the Tokyo Sky tree far far away on the horizon!
From Kurihama, we took the bus to the station and took the trains back home via Yokohama Line. We ended up making a big circle around Tokyo Bay!

水仙を楽しんだ後、保田駅に戻り、しばし浜辺を散策。
千葉方面に一駅戻り、浜金谷駅で下車。そこから、金谷港にむかう途中で昼食をとって、久里浜行きのフェリーに乗船。４０分ほどの短い船旅を楽しんだ後、久里浜駅から大船、横浜と経由して、横浜線で八王子まで行って、そこから中央線で帰宅しました。

There were lots of interesting round stones on the beach.


海を見てると、時間があっという間に過ぎていきました。


We had Ramen noodles for lunch at a restaurant near Hama-Kanaya station.
Some slippery sea weed in it and it tasted pretty good.
細かく刻んだアラメという海草入りのラーメン。浜金谷駅近くの食堂でお昼ご飯。
とろろのように、トゥルトゥルになります。おいしかったです。
せっかく房総にいったのに、今回は、魚介類…食べてないです…
金谷港近くに大きな市場があったのですが、フェリーの出港時間が迫っていて、立ち寄れませんでした。

フェリーに乗船。久里浜までは７００円。向こうに鋸山が見られます。


雲間からさす陽の光が印象的でした。

デッキの上は、かなり寒かったです。

Here is the course we took.
We made a big circle around Tokyo Bay.
It took about 12 hours.
ぐるっと東京湾を一周。今度は、館山とか千倉とかに行ってみたいです。
