Okutama & Mitake (November 13th)

Red maple by the Mukashimichi trail in Okutama.

We went to Okutama and walked on the Okutama Mukushimichi (old road) trail.
From Okutama sta. to Okutama Lake, it took about 4 hours for us to walk on the trail.
We enjoyed nice fall colors.

奥多摩むかし道を歩いてきました。紅葉がかなり進んでいます。
帰り途中に、御嶽に寄ってみると、大銀杏がきれいに黄色く色づいていました。たった１週間でこんなにも変わるんですね。

Jindai Botanical Garden (November 12th)

Waterfall of chrysanthemums at the entrance.

Today we went to Jindai Botanical Garden again to take pictures of chrysanthemums.
We found some nice fall colors already, too.

またまた神代植物公園へ。今回は菊の花の写真、撮ってきました。
たった１週間で、園内の木々の印象がかなり変わっていました。
紅葉もちらほら見つけられました。


Higo Giku.

色合いが素敵でした。


The size of these chrysanthemums is really huge...nearly the size of my face.


These chrysanthemums had thin petals like wire.
「管物」と呼ばれる種類。見事です。


こんな味のある色合いのものもありました。


「一文字菊」の品種。

深大寺境内では、こんなに色づいた紅葉もありました。


Taxodium distichum (Rakuushou) was still greenish yellow. It will turn orangish brown.

Jindai Botanical Garden (November 6th)

The forest of Liquidambar styraciflua (Momijibafuu) in Jindai Botanical Garden.
色づいている葉っぱも出てきました。

We went to Jindai Botanical Garden in our neighborhood.
They held the annual chrysanthemum exhibition there, but we got there a little late, so we couldn't take nice pictures of them in the shade.
Roses were nicely blooming there.

神代植物公園に菊の展示を見に行ってきました。
あいにく、スタートが遅くて午後の遅い時間だったので、菊が展示されているところは日陰になってしまっていて、あまりいい写真が撮れませんでした。なので、今回は、まだまだ見頃だったバラをアップしたいと思います。


I like the rose with less petals like this.
一重咲きのバラ、結構好きです。

青系のバラもそれぞれ雰囲気が違って面白いです。
どれも香りがよいので、嗅ぎまくってました。


Sapindus mukurossi (Mukuroji) leaves turned yellow.
ムクロジもきれいに黄葉していました。

Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode (November 5th)

Swertia japonica (Senburi).

We went to see some Swertia japonica (Senburi) flowers at Mt. Hinode.
We were able to see more colorful Maple trees than we expected, too.

センブリを見に、日の出山に行ってきました。
まだまだ紅葉は先だろうと思っていたのですが、カエデの類はかなり色づいていました。

御岳ケーブルカーを降りたら、ニャンコが近づいてきました。


Maple leaves turned red, orange and yellow...




グリーンが混ざっているのも素敵です。


Maple leaves are so beautiful when you see them through the sun light.
