Mt. Akitakomagatake, Part 2 (September 20th)

Mt. Kotake, another interesting peak of Mt. Akitakomagatake.

Here are the second bunch of the pictures taken in Mt. Akitakomagatake.
We took the trail to Mt. Odake and walked down to the so-called Moomin valley.
The landscapes and fall colors were amazing.
We stayed at the 8th station hut on this day and the stars were beautiful at night.

秋田駒ケ岳の写真の後半。
阿弥陀池から男岳への分岐まで登り、そこからムーミン谷に下りて、大焼砂、横岳、焼森を経由して、八合目小屋に戻りました。夜の星空もきれいでした。

Mt. Medake is the one which is still active.
We saw the steam coming out of the top of the mountain.

Some of the flowers were still blooming even after the leaves turning red.

雲が切れて日が差すたびに紅葉が鮮やかに浮かびます。

The yellow leaves of Viola crassa (Takane Sumire) covered the ridge of Ooyake-suna.
 タカネスミレは秋も大焼砂を黄色く染めていました。

秋田駒でしたか~! ツツジなどの低木が色づいて稜線はもうすっかり紅葉シーズン突入ですね。今年はどこも幾分早いようです。
ここはもう何年も前に行ったきりですがまたタカネスミレの群生を見てみたいものです。

秋田駒周辺も紅葉が一週間程度、例年より早かったようです。
自分たちも秋に行ったのは初めてだったので、バスが八合目に近づくにつれて紅葉が見えはじめた時はテンションがあがりました。
タカネスミレの葉がきれいに黄色く色づいていたのも面白かったです。
