Flowers in the Hakuba Area (Part 1) (July 5th - 6th)

Hemerocallis middendorffii var. esculenta (Nikkou Kisuge)
at the Tsugaike Shizen-en.

Here is the first bunch of flower pictures taken on our Hakuba hike!
On the ridge, the clouds and gas covered everything around us almost all the time,
so I couldn't get any nice pictures of flowers with the beautiful mountain scenery on the background this time.  However, we found quite a few kinds of flowers this time, too.

Glaucidium palmatum (Shirane Aoi).

Dicentra peregrina (Komakusa).
They just started to bloom.

I really enjoy your blog, and love the fact that you are experiencing the beauty of these flowers in their natural habitat. Photos such as these are precious. The diversity of flora you photograph is outstanding.
