A Mountain near Lake Kawaguchi, Yamanashi (June 9th)

Cypripedium macranthum var. speciosum (Atsumori-sou).

We also found a big surprise!  When we were taking picture of some violets, my partner said to me, "What kind of lily is that over there?"  And looking at the purple bud there, I was amazed.  It was not a lily, but an orchid!
It was Cypripedium macranthum var. speciosum (Atsumori-sou) flower!
I wonder how long it takes for the bud to bloom...
(We didn't enter the place where the ropes were around, and we tried not ruin the area with stepping around thoughtlessly.)

Cypripedium macranthum var. speciosum (Atsumori-sou).
