Mukashi Michi, Okutama (November 12th)

At the Okutamako bus stop.

We went to walk along the Okutama Mukashi-michi.
It seems less fall colors and more brown leaves than last year.
But the sky was so clear because of the rain the day before.
It takes about 4 hours or so from the Okutamako bus stop back to Okutama station.

The sky was so clear and blue.

We found lots of persimmon trees by the trail.

Yellow maple leaves and blue sky.

The trail was covered with fallen leaves.

The view of the valley from Shidakura bridge.
I think this spot is the highlight of the trail.

Chrysanthemum japonicum (Ryuunou-giku).

Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode (November 5th)

Maple leaves started to turn red in Mt. Mitake.

I haven't uploaded any pictures for more than a month.
The fall color usually starts in November at the Okutama or Mitake areas, so we went to Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode this weekend.
We found some red maples and beautiful Enkianthus campanulatus (Sarasa Doudan).
By the Tama river it seems lots of brown leaves... It might not be good year for fall colors this year around there.
We stopped by the Ozawa Sake brewery and tasted some Sake. There were lots of people enjoying tasting Sake.

Arisaema limbatum (Mimigata Tennanshou).

Golden maple leaves. At Mt. Mitake.

Enkianthus campanulatus (Sarasa Doudan).

The moss on the grass roof was beautiful.

It was getting yellow...probably it will be beautiful next weekend.

Kinchakuda, Hidaka (September 23rd)

Lycoris radiata (Higanbana, or Manjushage).

We went to Kinchakuda in Hidaka city, Saitama.
It was cloudy, so it was a little hard to take pictures.
There were lots of people visiting there to see Lycoris radiata (Higanbana, or Manjushage) flowers.
From Kinchakuda, we walked all the way to Lake Miyazawa and visit the Miyazawako Hot Spring "Kirari Bettei". It was cool all day and felt nice after bathing in the hot spring.

There was some area with lots of buds, which were not bloom yet.
The tree fell down because of the typhoon the other day, probably...

Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode (September 10th)

Anemonopsis macrophylla (Renge Shouma).

We had not been out on weekends for a while, so we went to Mt. Mitake and Mt. Hinode this weekend.
There were lots of people waiting for the bus to the cable car station.
There were still some of Anemonopsis macrophylla (Renge Shouma) flowers left.
From Mt. Hinode, we walked down to Tsurutsuru Hot Spring and enjoyed bathing there for a couple of hours.
We found some autumn flowers blooming.
