Viola x pseudo-makinoi f. concolor (Midori Mitsumori Sumire).
The hybrid between Viola violacea var. makinoi (Makino Sumire)
and Viola sieboldi (Fumoto Sumire).
I went to the Oku-musahsi Area to see some violets in the morning.
There were lots of
Viola violacea var.
makinoi (Makino Sumire) and
Viola sieboldi (Fumoto Sumire) flowers blooming on the ridge.
I found quite a few of the hybrid between these two violets.
It is so interesting to see the diversity of the shapes and colors of the hybrid even if the combination of the parents are the same.
去年に引き続き、今年も見てきました。
マキノもフモトもたくさん咲いていて、その交雑種もかなりたくさん咲いていました。
両親は同じなのに、こんなにも変化があって、面白いですね。
