Ichi-no-taki Waterfall, Shinjou (May 3rd)

On the trail to the Ichi-no-taki waterfall in Shinjou.

After a short trip to Sabaneyama, we went to the hiking trail to the Ichi-no-taki waterfall in Shinjou. We found Viola selkirkii (Miyama Sumire) on this trail 2 years ago, so we expected that, but the spring also came here later, so we couldn't find them this time...
Instead, we found quite a few of edible ferns for supper! After the short hiking, we stopped by a noodle restaurant near there and had lunch together.

猿羽根山散策後、隣の新庄市にある杢蔵山の麓にある一の滝へ行ってきました。
このコース、2008年にも来ていて、初めてミヤマスミレを見つけたところでもあったので、期待していたのですが、やはりここでも春は遅く、残雪の中、咲いているのは、カタクリやキクザキイチゲでした。
その代わり、コゴミがたくさんあったので、夕食用にいくらかいただいて来ました。

新庄で名物になっている「鶏もつラーメン」。あっさりしていておいしいです。
