     Here are the more pictures of Rhododendron pentaphyllum var. nikoense (Aka-yashio) at Mt. Kesamaru.  From Mt. Mae Kesamaru we took the Yumi-no-te course down to our starting point.

前袈裟丸から弓の手コースを下りました。最後にそれはそれは見事なアカヤシオのポイントに連れて行っていただいて、袈裟丸の眺めとともにアカヤシオの花を堪能できました。

Mt. Kesamaru, Part 1 (May 19th)

 

Rhododendron pentaphyllum var. nikoense (Aka-yashio).

    We went to climb Mt. Kesamaru to see Rhododendron pentaphyllum var. nikoense (Aka-yashio) blossoms.  An Internet friend of mine took us to the entrance of Yumi-no-te course and guided us to the course which is not on the usual hiking map.   We had to walk through the bamboo bush, but it was an interesting experience for both of us.  He said it was not as good as last year, but it was still amazing for us.  We enjoyed beautiful Rhododendron pentaphyllum var. nikoense (Aka-yashio) blossoms and amazing scenery from the ridge.
We started climbing around 7:30 and back to the parking area around 17:00.  It was tough, but really fun!


ネットで知り合った方に、袈裟丸山に連れて行っていただきました。
今年は裏年ということでしたが、自分たちにとっては十分すぎるくらい素晴らしいアカヤシオも、風景も、大満足の一日となりました。
