Mt. Myoujin, Hakone (Part 2) (March 16th)

      Here are the more pictures taken on the second day of our Hakone trip.
We walked from Sengokuhara YH to Miyagino BS via Mt. Myoujingatake.  On the ridge to Mt. Myoujingatake, we enjoyed amazing views of the mountains including Mt. Fuji!

The sign says it takes 40 minutes to Miyagino BS, but it took more than that for us.

Mt. Myoujingatake, Hakone (Part 1) (March 16th)

    On the second day of the Hakone trip, it was so clear that we decided to climb Mt. Myoujingatake.

箱根の２日目は、大涌谷にでものんびり行こうかとも思っていたのですが、朝起きてみたら、見事な快晴だったので、明神ヶ岳に登ってみることにしました。
見晴らしが最高で、すっかり気に入ってしまいました。

But it took us more than an hour.

Some hiker said the white peak is Mt. Kitadake.

Mt. Yaguradake and Mt. Kintoki, Hakone Area (March 15th)

 

Daiyuuzan Station.

There is a statue of Kintarou and bear.

We took the Daiyuuzan line for the first time.

    We went to Mt. Yaguradake in Minami Ashigara area in Kanagawa.  We saw the mountain on TV the other day, and it looked pretty nice, so we decided to try it.
    We found the trail continue all the way to Sengoku area in Hakone, so we made a reservation for a room at Hakone Sengokuhara YH, which has nice hot spring.

Home (4:20) - train - Shinjuku - Odakyu Line - Odawara (7:24) - Daiyuuzan Line - (7:45) Daiyuuzan Sta. (8:05) - bus - Honmura BS (8:20) -  (10:00) Mt. Yaguradake (10:15) - Ashigara Touge (11:30) - walk on the road and lunch break - The End of the Road (12:20) - (13:40) Mt. Kintoki (14:15) - Yagurasawa Touge (15:00) - Kintoki Tozanguchi BS (15:30) - Sengokuhara YH (around 16:00).

先日テレビで見た矢倉岳に行ってみることに。
地図を見てみると金時山を経由して、箱根のユースホステルがある仙石方面に出られることを知って、早速、ユースホステルに予約を入れて、出かけてきました。
大雄山線は初めてでしたが、思いの外、通勤客で満員状態で驚きました。
大雄山駅からバスに乗り換えて、矢倉沢BSで降りようとしたところ、次の本村BSの方が近いよ、と運転手さんが教えてくれました。

 

We started walking from Honmura BS.

本村BSからしばらくは車道・林道を歩きます。

アオイスミレが咲いていました。

 

There was a tea field by the trail.

茶畑が広がっているこの辺から山の中へ。

 

でも、まだ舗装されてます。

目立たないですが、赤斑です。

 

明るい広葉樹林の森に切り替わりました。

日も出て気持ちがいいです。

万葉公園・足柄峠周辺からは、車道歩きが続きます。

左側に見えているのが、矢倉岳。

足柄峠。向かいにはトイレ・自販機・茶屋などがあります。

 

From Manyou Park, we walked on the road for a while.

車道歩きが続いて疲れたので、この辺でお昼飯に。

車道が終わり、登山道が始まります。

はじめのうちは登山道といっても車も通れるような広い道です。

We enjoyed nice view here and there on the way to Mt. Kintoki.

いよいよ金時山山頂目指しての登りが始まります。

振り返ると、中央右手のカヤトの頂が矢倉岳です。

 

道が狭くてちょっと怖いところも。

 

There are 12 staircases like this, each of which is named 12 zodiacs.

こんな梯子が１２個あって、十二支の名前がついています。

雲がかかってました。また今度、すっきり晴れた日に来たいな。

左手に大涌谷、中央に芦ノ湖、仙石原など、山々に取り囲まれた箱根の様子が一望できます。

オオカサゴケ。こんな可愛い苔もありました。

直径２ｃｍくらいあります。

苔にしてはずいぶん大きかったです。

 

ハコネダケの壁に囲まれた尾根道に出ました。

下りの道も、視界が開けた所が多くて楽しいです。

私たちはここから下山。

車道に出ました。ここからバス停まであと少し。

ここから仙石のユースホステルまで歩いて１５分くらい。

ユースでは、白濁した温泉を満喫しました。
