The Daibosatsu Area, Part 1 (November 3rd)

Maple trees were beautiful in the sun.

We went to Kami Hikawa Pass, which is one of the main entrances to Mt. Daibosatsu.  When we got to the Kai Yamato Sta., there were quite a few people getting off at the station and running for the bus to the pass.
At the pass, most of the leaves were gone already, so we decided to walk back towards the station.  As we went down to the lower elevation, we found colorful leaves.

Miscanthus sinensis (Susuki).

There were lots of beautiful larch trees.

Oak leaves trough the sun light.

Mt. Daibosatsu with maple trees.

Acer japonicum (Hauchiwa Kaede).

Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Yamanashi (October 20th)

Mt. Fuji from near the 5th Station.

We went to the Subaru Line 5th Station of Mt. Fuji for the first time.  We enjoyed beautiful fall colors and the nice view of Mt. Fuji.

You can even enjoy the horse riding from the 5th Station.

Colorful trees at the 5th Station.

Mountain Ash was so beautiful!

Lots of beautiful trees by the Subaru Line.

We got wild cranberry jam.  It is so tasty.
