The Trip to Bousou Peninsula, Part 1 (January 8th)

Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis (Nihon Suisen) at Kyonan-machi in Chiba.

We went to Kyonan-machi in the Bousou Peninsula, Chiba, to use up the rest of our JR's Seishun-18-Kippu ticket, with which you can ride any local trains how many times you want in one day. The town is famous for its Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis (Nihon Suisen) flowers.
It is the right season for its flowers and we also thought it would be the good chance to know the new area, where we have never been before.
We took the Chuo Line train to Ochanomizu and then transferred to the trains on Soubu Line to Chiba. From Chiba we took the local trains on Uchibou Line to Hota Station.
From there we walked 15 minutes or so to get to the entrance of the "Suisen Road", where you can see lots of Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis (Nihon Suisen) flowers here and there by the road. The fragrance of the flowers was amazing when we walked down the road.

年末に盛岡に行くときに使った青春１８切符の残りを使って、千葉に行ってみることにしました。
前日の寝る前に、「そういえば秋葉原より先の総武線って乗ったことないよね…」という思いつきのまま、南房総の水仙でも見てこようということで、出掛けてきました。

After Chiba the train was passing the massive kombinat area.
千葉から内房線に乗り換えて、しばらくすると、東京湾に沿って、巨大プラント群が遠くに見えました。


ようやく東京湾が見えてきました。

この花ももう咲いていました。やっぱり温暖な土地柄なのでしょうか？
とはいえ、今日は、普通に寒かったです。

The farmers were selling some of the fllowers and other product by the road.
We got some lemons and kumquats.

Tsuru-no-yu Hot Spring, Akita (December 31st - January 1st)

We bathed in the nice hot spring several times during our stay.
The supper was amazing... We both got full.

滞在中、温泉と食事をたっぷり楽しみました。
全然、雪が降らなくて、月と星を見ながら、露天風呂に浸かることができました。


We stayed at the exactly same room as the last time.
前回とまったく同じ、東本陣１号室でした。この部屋は、囲炉裏つきの小部屋がついてます。

夜は、本陣前で雪燈籠の灯りがともされました。


日中は日帰り客でにぎわう鶴の湯も、夜はぐっと静かになります。


部屋の囲炉裏で、岩魚を焼いてくれます。


岩魚のお造り。脂がのってて、絶品！


ミズの実の酢の物。自分の地元、山形では、同じミズでも、茎の部分しか食べません。


ご飯を揚げたものにきのこの餡がかかった一品。
ご飯の中のトンビ茸がいい味を出してます。


夕食は囲炉裏端で…


名物の山の芋鍋。

山の芋鍋。お腹がいっぱいになる量です。二人とも２杯分、たっぷりいただきました。


９時ごろ、年越しそばを出してくれました。


元旦…夕食と一緒にいただいた岩手のお酒がきいたのか、ぐっすり眠れました。
朝食前にひとっ風呂浴びてきました。


朝食はおせち。お屠蘇もいただきました。くじ引きは、ふたりとも「つる賞」で絵葉書を一枚ずつ頂戴しました。
前回、前々回と違うのは、ハタハタがなくなったこと…やっぱりブリコが硬すぎて不評だったのかなぁ…


お雑煮は、実家の味に近いあっさり味。鶏と牛蒡のだしがきいてます。


朝食一番乗りだったため、他の宿泊客が食事中は、露天が貸しきり状態に。


ところどころで、プクプクしているところがあって、足元から温泉が湧き出しているのがわかります。


この後、９時過ぎになると、日帰り客の皆さんでにぎわっていました。


それにしても滞在中、全然、雪が降りませんでした。

Nyuutou Hot Spring, Akita (December 31st - January 1st)

Lake Tazawa... It was snowy the last time, but this time it was no snow falling.
田沢湖…今回は雪が降っていなくて、向こうの山並みも見渡せました。

We went to stay at Tsuru-no-yu Hot Spring in Akita for New Year's Eve again!
This is our third time to stay there.
We stayed at a hotel in front of Morioka station on December 30th after riding lots of local trains.
We also tried other hot springs in the Nyuutou Hot Spring area this time.

２０１１年の大晦日も、鶴の湯温泉に宿泊してきました。
前回と同じく、１２月２６日になってようやくキャンセルが出たようで、予約が取れました。
３０日に、青春１８切符を使って、各駅停車を乗り継ぎ、盛岡に到着。ビジネスホテルに一泊して、翌朝、田沢湖駅へと向かいました。バスで田沢湖畔についた頃には、雪がやみ、それ以降、ほぼ終日、雪が降らなかったです。積雪量は、前回より多いようでした。

They have a few kinds of hot spring water in this place.
One is clear and the others are whitish.


孫六温泉…唐子の湯は透明。岩風呂は青白くうっすら濁っていました。

大釜温泉…露天の濁り湯の温度が絶妙で、いつまでも浸かっていられそうでした。


We took the bus back to the entrance of Tsuru-no-yu Hot Spring.
We walked for an hour or so to the hot spring from the bus stop.


雪景色を楽しみながら、鶴の湯を目指します。


雪が降ってないので、山並みも見られます。


除雪がしっかりされているので、安心ですが、つるつる滑ります。






今回は雪が多いような気がします。












Around 12:45 we arrived at Tsuru-no-yu Hot Spring.
１時間ほどで鶴の湯に到着。チェックインまで、温泉であったまりながら、休憩所でしばし休息。
