Nirasaki & Katsunuma, Yamanashi (April 9th)
Wanizuka-no-sakura on the way to Jindai-zakura in Nirasaki, Yamanashi.
(王仁塚の桜)
I went to go see an old cherry tree named "Jindai-zakura" in Nirasaki, Yamanashi.
The tree is famous because it is said that it is nearly 2000 years old!
I used JR's Seishun-18-kippu, the JR's one day free pass.
Quite a few nice cherry trees were in Jissou-ji Temple.
Here is the Jindai-zakura in Jissou-ji Temple.
Another shot of Jindai-zakura.
Lots of people were visiting the temple.
I stopped by Katsunuma-budoukyou sta. on the way back home.
Lots of nice cherry trees were planted by the railroad.
The tulips found in the yard near the station.
I walked around the Katsunuma area and found some peach trees.
Yamanashi is famous for its peach.
