Mt. Fuji showed up! At Asagiri Kougen.
We went to Kawaguchiko Sta. by train and took the bus to Asagiri Kougen at 9:40. When we got to Kawaguchiko Sta., it started raining and it was pouring while we were on the bus.
When we started to walk from the Kenkyou Busstop, it was covered with dark clouds with a little rain. After a few hours, the sky started to clear up and finally we could see Mt. Fuji!
We found some kinds of violets including one of the yellow violets, Viola orientalis (Ki Sumire). However, they seemed to burn the field down, so we couldn't find many yellow violets this time...

県境バス停から東海自然歩道を歩き始めましたが、しばらくの間は、まるで夕暮れ時のような暗さで、富士山も全く見えませんでしたが、2，3時間後には、雲が切れ始め、あっという間に晴天に。きれいな富士山も見えました。スミレもいろいろ見つけられましたが、2，3日前にどうやら野焼きをしたばかりらしく、キスミレの群落は見られませんでした。トウカイスミレらしきものを見つけられたのですが、きれいに咲いている個体が見つけられなかったのが、ちょっと心残りでしたが、また来年の課題にしたいと思います。
帰りは、道の駅「朝霧高原」に立ち寄って、バスで河口湖駅に戻りました。

It was our first time to find this kind, so not 100 % sure, but I'm pretty much sure this is it.
We could find nicely opened flowers this time, so we should try to find this next spring!
薄暗い道を歩いていると、足元に疑わしい小さなスミレの葉っぱが… よく探してみると雨に打たれて、残念な状態の花を発見。これってトウカイスミレですよね？葉っぱはたくさん見つかったのですが、もう花季が過ぎていたのかなぁ… どれも花はついていないようでした。

噂どおり、ちっちゃいです。来年こそはきれいな状態の花、見てみたいな。

自然歩道沿いでたくさん見られます。

だんだん雲が切れてきて、富士山が見えました。

This one grows only in the Fuji area and the Aso area in Kyuushuu.

濃い紅色のエイザンがたくさんありました。

I've seen only white flowers of this kind, but the ones growing around there had slightly yellow flowers.
ヒカゲスミレが目立ちました。この辺りのものは、ほんのり黄色みを帯びていてクリーム色をしていました。
