Nogawa Park (December 6th)
We followed the Nogawa river on the way back from Tonogayato Gardens.
On the way from Tonogayato Gardens, we rode the bikes by the Nogawa river and stopped by the Nogawa Park. There were lots of nice maple trees and also lots of flocks of old people guided by quite a few volunteer people... If it is fine if there is only a few groups they make...but there were 5 or 6 groups of 10 or so people each! Anyway, we enjoyed beautiful colors of the maple trees all day today.
We found another violet blooming already!
Viola japonica (Ko-sumire).
The reflection of the red maple leaves on the surface of the pond.
Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis (Nihon Suisen).
俳句だと「冬」の季語になってますよね。ここでは、まだ咲き出しのようです。

Nogawa Park is near Tokyo ? I don't have any documentation about Tokyo, maps, books...So it's difficult for me to know the situation of what you are speaking about.
Surprising to see a Viola and a Narcissus at the moment.
I live in Mitaka city, which is located in western Tokyo. The park is 10 minutes bike ride from my place. These parks and gardens showed in here these days are all in Tokyo.
Narcissus is one of the words, which represent winter, in the world of Japanese traditional short poem, Haiku.
I have just has bought Narcissus tazeta in England, in flower at the moment. Beautiful plant indeed.
How far from the center of Tokyo are the Park and Mitaka City, please?
Mitaka city is located about 15 minutes from Shinjuku by train, and about 40 minutes from Tokyo terminal.
