ツメナガホオジロ…この辺りのツンドラではよく見かける野鳥らしいです。

All the pictures shown here were taken on Pinnell Mountain Trail from Eagle Summit Wayside.
On the way back to our rig parked at the wayside, we caught by thunder storm and the hails were hitting on our face!
第３弾。 Eagle Summitの駐車場からTwelvemile Summitまで続くPinnell Mountain Trailを2マイルちょっとだけ歩いてきました。
ツンドラの広がる中をのんびり歩けて高山植物があちこちに咲いている素敵なトレイルでした。
折り返して車に戻る途中、嵐に巻き込まれて雹が降る中、急いで車にかけこみました。
雹に打たれたのって何十年ぶりだろう…小粒でも思いのほか痛くて動揺しました。

These yellowish white ones are relatively rare.
ヨコヤマリンドウの多くは、独特な群青色をしているのですが、
黄色がかった白っぽい個体もまれに見かけました。

ジンヨウスイバ（腎葉酸葉）、マルバギシギシなどと呼ばれているようです。

サクラソウの仲間なので、日本だったらハクサンコザクラとか
咲きそうな雰囲気の所に咲いていました。

Hails hit our face and it hurt and we got all wet and cold!

最後のほうの花はサクラソウというよりシクラメンの花にも似てますね。
それにしてもいろいろな花が咲いてて面白そうですね～！
８月に北米で皆既日食がありますが、見に行くのですか？
アラスカでも南部なら食分の深い部分食にはなるようです。
シューティング・スターと呼ばれる花で、花の姿は確かにシクラメンぽいですね。
サイズは小型のサクラソウぐらいです。
日食の情報、知りませんでした。ありがとうございます。
さっそく調べてみると、ここより南のアンカレッジで、最大５５．６％隠れるみたいです。
シアトルで９１．９％、オレゴンのセイラムで１００．９％とあるので、それを見ても自分たちがずいぶんと北にいるんだなぁと感じます。
出来ればセイラムあたりで皆既食を見たほうがいいですが、飛行機でも結構な距離ですね、北海道から九州にいくような感じですね。
50％くらいでは周りの明るさは同じですが、90％台になるとちょっと薄暗くなったかな？という感じにはなります。
日本からもかなりのツアーが行くようですが、どのツアーも普通の観光ツアーより割高で、行く検討したのですが諦めました（＾＾；）
ちなみにアラスカ（西部）での皆既日食は2033年3月30日までありません。
