Cypripedium passerinum (Sparrow's Egg Lady's Slipper).
This species grows farther north than other Cypripedium.
We went to Twelvemile Summit and Eagle Summit once again after 2 weeks had passed since we went last time.
We drove further to Central area this time, and we found this amazing orchid flower, which we have never seen before.
2週間前に行ったEagle SummitとTwelvemile Summitにまた行ってきました。
いろんな花が咲いていてたくさん写真を撮ってきました。まだ整理している最中なのですが、
中でも、初めて見たアツモリソウの仲間を早速、アップしてみました。
英語名を訳すと、「雀の卵アツモリソウ」…確かにちっちゃなアツモリソウの仲間でした。

人差し指と比較してこの小ささ。

唇弁の中はこんなふうに背萼片で隠されています。

ちょっとだけのぞき見るとこんな感じ。

去年の種もできていました。

毛深い感じがいかにも北方系な感じ…

Quite a few of them were forming patches.

The most amazing thing is the place where they grow.
They were blooming right by the road!
まさか道路脇に咲いているなんて…一番最初に見つけた個体は、
車のタイヤのすぐ脇に咲いている一輪でした。

こんな小型のランも近くに咲いていました。

小さいアツモリソウですね～ まさに見たまんまの名前って感じですね。
検索しても日本名はないので北方領土や樺太にも無いのかもしれません。
日本だとコアツモリソウというこれも小さいのがありますが、これとはまた系統が違うアツモリソウのようですね。いやはや見て見たいものです。
最後のランはツレサギソウの仲間のようですね。
道路脇の草むら（湿地っぽいところ）に地味に咲いていました。
先日、別の種類のアツモリソウの仲間も見つけたのですが、その近くにも（やはり道路脇で）花を付けていました。
やっぱり日本語名、見当たらないですよね。どうも北米（アラスカ、モンタナの一部、カナダ）に自生しているようです。
ツレサギソウの仲間のランも小さくて、草丈１０～１５ｃｍくらいでした。
